Hi,
I just acquired a Savage 99c with a Weaver K4-60C on it. It has a tang safety and a detachable magazine. Serial #B500303. There is nothing on the lever boss.

Your serial number dates to 1974.

Hey, thanks. Is this a particularly valuable gun? Would it hurt the value if I refinished the stock and touched up the blueing?

The 99C is pretty much at the low end of the scale as values go. The rotary magazine pre mill guns are much more in demand.
You wouldn't lose much unless you really botch the refinish.

I was just going to Tru-Oil the stock, and touch up a few spots where the metal is in the white.
