Savage MLll. I have had them all cva, knight, tc encore, and everything in between. While all the above and many more are excellent front stuffers in their own right.
Nothing beats the power and convenience of a Savage smokeless.

For my purposes, a T/C Triumph. Light, simple design, handles really well. Whatever make/model, I'd get one without a several inch long "action" since they're superfluous and just add overall length with no benefit.

I am debating the same thing. I was considering the CVA Accura V2 in .45 cal.

What I really want is for one of the big gun companies to make a .45 (sabot) cal stainless, smokeless. Even better if it were a Remington where I could easily put in an aftermarket trigger.

I may ultimately buy a T/C Encore and toss the factory barrel, get an SMI barrel and have Karl Cerakote the whole thing black. No idea what it takes to make the trigger super good in the Encore. By that I mean Jewell or at least Timney good.

I would like my smokepole way mo' betta if it were smokeless.

go with the 50, more options for projectiles and some states require the 50cal as minimum for elk.

Looking for a .50cal.

Ill start with Precession Dead Centers and or TTSX.

Elk on the menu.

Washington says percussion caps must be exposed to the elements.

I've an older TC Firehawk inline. Im out of the loop, new rifle will be for my son.

For new rifles, Knight is the only one I know of that offer open breech inlines in their Bighorn and Wolverine. They also offer "Western Conversion" kits for their bolt guns.

Knight also offers the Wolverine at less cost than the Extreme and can be had in percusion cap or 209 ignition.

Does it have to be new? There are alot of nice used Knight rifles out there for a reasonable price. The Western Conversion kit can be added if it's set up for 209s.
