You are most welcome, now that I have FURTHER muddied the waters..... <G> To add fuel to the fire, I have heard of more than one instance of the WSM's not being easy to accuracy tune. Or, put another way, being VERY load finicky. One of my closest hunting buddies spent a pile of money on a full bore all custom Christianson arms WSM rifle, and it so far in three years has not shot well with any load. I think that he at least is giving up on the ideal in total. As for me, I never bit.

27" barrel. Pretty sure that velocity would be achievable in the 6.5 rum. BC is pretty close so far. I will shoot them at 1500 and a mile and see what they do. Out to 1k it's pretty damn close.

Nice!

It took me a while to bite on the WSM case. Last year I put together a 6.5 WSM and a 358 WSM. Both on Savage actions. The 6.5 will shoot sub MOA with the second load I tried. Took an antelope with it this year at 185yds. I haven't fitted wood to the 358 yet or shot it.

Back when Rem brought out their SAUM I met a Rem rep at the Cody gun range. He was setting up for a bunch of gun writers to shoot Rem's new stuff. He said I could look at everything but not touch anything. After looking at the "new" toys I asked if Rem planned on bringing out a 6.5 or 35 SAUM. I kinda gave me a stare and said NO - Rem tried that before and it didn't work. My light bulb went on and I remembered the 6.5 and 350 RM - the original short mags!! I don't know if he thought I was being a smart azz or not. I wasn't, just trying to find out if Rem was gonna release something in my 2 favorite bore sizes. I had a 350 RM at one time and traded it off. Never had a 6.5RM, but have dies for both of the RM's so I can convince myself to buy on if I ever find one when I have the $$ in my pocket!
