It appears to be well put together, the onky name i can find is on the bArrel and that is C. hottenstein. A google search turns up a Carl Hottenstein, gunsmith, Richland Pa. While I've not heard of the maker, whomever did the checkering was a pretty fair hand at it - and then some. I don't mind the color and grain of the stock either, but again from the photos, the checkering is superb. Thanks again for sharing and good luck with your rifle. But nothing further than that as of yet Here are a couple more photos [/img] ] I believe the wing safety is going to get replaced. And i would love to know more about the action specifically. Joe: i tracked the maker down tonight and he remembered the customer who had it built but would have to see the rifle in order to remember it. He was able to answer a few questions that I had.
