thermal imaging is already illegal for hunting except some places will allow it for coyote and maybe hog, but it would still be a cool device to have if its not too expensive

not sure about Oregon, but every state I've lived or hunted (Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota has banned the use of thermal imaging considering like spotlighting. maybe some states you could get way with it.

That would be the ticket for finding wounded/dead deer.

And who would determine it was used only to find a Deer that was previously wounded or already dead and not used to help make them so?

A good trailing Dog is the ticket to find wounded/dead animals and definitely would be more efficient in doing so. Hell sometimes they use Jack Russels in Africa to do the dirty work.
