What scope mount system do you like for the AR-15 platform? I am looking to mount a few scopes on some ARs. The scopes I have are Leupold Mark AR, Nikon Buck Master and Leupold VX-II all 1 tubes. The ARs will be used for hunting and target 50-400 yards or so.
It's a beautiful day, Don't let it get away!!!

If you want detachable you can't go wrong with the LaRue 104.
The 2 best fixed mounts I have used are the JP Enterprises mount, hell for stout and still pretty light. The AERO Precision Mount, under 3oz and very strong.
There are others, but, I have used these and and they are all excellent.

It all depends on ir you want it to be fixed or removable. Lots of great choices in fixed mounts and most are very reasonable. For removables ones, a mount that'll rezero is very important. Of these I stick to 2. The ADM Recon mount and the LaRue LT-104. I've had great luck with both.

I have the RRA mount, but honestly its pretty beefy and not very sleek, its also pretty heavy. I looked real hard at that aero mount, IMO that mount doesn't have much metal in it. I am kinda afraid of it. if they would have just closed in those slots under the rings I think it would have added critical strength,

Armalite, RR, Burris PEPR, Model One sales all make decent priced fixed mounts.
LaRue or ADM for removable lever type mounts.

Used the Burris PEPR and Nikon M223. Prefer the Nikon...either works fine.

LaRue or ADM for removable lever type mounts. correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't one of reason for the picatinny rail to allow the removal of the scope mount and return it to zero? In fact, the age old Weaver mounts will do the same if IIRC.

The picatinny rail was designed to be a standardized mounting system by the Picatinny Arsenal. Returning to zero is a matter of tightening the mount to the exact spot with the exact torque.
Before levers, you used a torque wrench. If you think weavers and just tightening things down close enough got it done, you'd be mistaken. Witness marks can help and sometimes we get lucky but when you have to get it back to zero, not just close enough, use a mount designed to do so.
I switched between Aimpoints and scopes hundreds of times and can honestly say LaRue mounts do return to zero as advertised. I've also ran enough Armalite, RR and ARMS risers to know they don't without tools and luck.

Nikon P series aren't quick detachable, but are inexpensive, lightweight, and as far as I can tell, work great.

+1 for ADM. They are my favorite mount for AR's. Bobro, LaRue, and AAD are also good choices. Nightforce NXS 2.5-10X24 in ADM Recon Mount by X Ring, on Flickr

LaRue. No point in even trying anything else.
