Back up on block. Buyer had something come up and had to back out. WTS: Ruger M77 Tang Safety 35 Whelen McMillan Fibergrain Stock This might possibly be the rarest combination I have ever handled, much less owned. Absolutely stunning to look at. Deep rich bluing on the action, barrel and rings/bases. The Fibergrain stock is amazing. One would swear it is the finest stick of walnut. These Fibergrain stocks have not been made by McMillan in many years. They were hand finished by the guys at McMillan to perfectly mimic fine wood. The Good: Absolutely beautiful bluing on the metal. Very nice open sights that are fitted perfectly. Rifle shoots lights out and is a pussycat. Sub-moa at 100 with occasional cloverleafs. Haven't hand loaded for this...I'm quite sure it could be tweaked even more. Rifle properly and firmly bedded. Trigger is very nice for a factory one. Appears to have extremely low round count(Actual number unknown). Crown looks perfect. The Bad: Slightly buggered screw on bottom metal where someone used an improperly sized screwdriver.(Pictured) Tiny, very tiny chips in the finish of stock around the edge of the tang. $1000 shipped to FFL from non-FFL First Ill take it followed by a PM. is that a factory offered stock? No sir it was not. These stocks were custom ordered back in the day from McMillan. Rumor has it that the guys at McMillan would hand finish these after-hours for extra money. The entire set up is first class and very sweet. Even killed a mule deer this year in the San Juan Mountains
