They need to get on the same page.
The major problem is this can cause a split in the conservative vote, and the liberals win ever time. This was proven in Virginia. That's why I always tell people to vote for the best candidate in the primary, then vote party line in the general.

Didn't have a primary for the Republican Governor in Va this last campaign cycle. It was a back door deal. They selected a Rhino and got beat.

Well, they also had a billionaire liberal out of Austin pumping money to the Libertarian, to cause a split in the conservative vote and, it worked. Go figure.

At least Cooch didn't lose by as much as the polls were predicting. McAwful seemed a little subdued at least.

Whatever.
In the general election you should be maintaining party discipline. Otherwise you end up with the worst candidate like you did in VA.

The Tea Party has my support.

The R's have certainly not stood up for a true Right of center alternative. But they are still better than the Dems and I don't see them as the same. The current Democratic Party has gone full blown socialist and the only thing slowing them down is the Republicans. I will certainly be looking for more Tea Party style candidates, but in some cases there will be a choice of the lesser evil.

They say State Senate District 21, Craighead County deep in the Arkansas Delta has been a Democratic stronghold since Reconstruction.
Arkansas just had a special election to replace Democratic State Senate Paul Bookout. The issues were expansion of state Medicaid and ObamaCare. The Democrats outspent the Republicans 3 to 1.
The Republican upset was a blowout: Republican John Cooper: 4,314 (57.21%) Democrat Steve Rockwell: 3,227 votes (42.79%

I see a time when the Tea Party will have sufficient volume to become a swing vote. When that happens the powers will come courting.

The primaries are the only elections where we matter. The truth is the Primaries is where the TP gets to choose the biggest Kook who has no chance of winning in the general election. Examples include...Herman Cain, Santorum and Rick Perry. So you have to ask yourself....do you really matter? Bring in the Clowns!

Elizabeth Warren? Cuomo? O'Malley? Schweitzer? Who?

"Tea Party prepares for fight against entrenched GOP."
Instead of fighting each other, together they could beat the Dem's.

I REALLY don't like Santorum, but ANY of the three KOOKS you mentioned are waaaay preferable to ANYBODY on the Dem radar screen. You and Karl Rove make a pair.
