Ferguson 30. Actually it was dad's, but I learned to drive on it and darn sure plowed a bunch of hours on it. Later he got a Massey Ferguson 50 high wheel, I plowed with it a lot more until I left home.

This '83 Massey-Ferguson 230. It was our main use tractor for 25 years, starting when we got it in '87, but now it's semi-retired and dedicated to sickle bar mowing around the ponds and under treelines.

I wish that our old Ford looked this great. The new diesel tractor I have today sips fuel compared to that old Ford but it sure got the job done. I still love the old tractors. They are groovy.

I learned to drive on an international H when I was 7. I've never had a reason to own one myself.

Only tractor, Kubota B2910. Bought it new about 12 years and 350 some hours ago. Not so much as a hiccup from it. It even has the original battery. When I was a kid, I put a lot of hours on Farmall Cub and somehow managed to not kill myself.

Later on we were trusted to pull a drill.

This is my only tractor. A Kubota B 7510. No problems in the 8 years I've owned it.

Learned on an early 50s AC WD45 wide front, progressed through the years to a D17 Series III, D19, and then the bigger stuff, 190XT and 7030. Grandpa had IH H and M tricycle fronts and an Uncle kept a JD A with midmount cycle bar for a hay tractor. He farmed with a JD 720 and later a 4020. Don't farm anymore but would sure like to have that old D17 back to trim up my 12 acres.

I loaned it to a "friend" who went broke and had it hauled off by creditors. He wouldn't tell me where it went. His widow did.

Toddly; Thanks for the thread and the fine memories it's stirring for me tonight. The first tractor I can remember driving on my own was a '49 Ford N if I've got the year right. It wasn't long after that though that I was spending time in a lot of Case tractors - 1070, 1370, 2470, 2670 and then a whole lot of time in a Versatile 935, but they belonged to the farming company I worked for and eventually became a part of for two years. When we moved here to BC we ended up on a small acreage and went looking for something to use around the place. We found one of these, which I'd never heard of until buying it - a Japanese built Iseki G174. This is a stock photo - somehow I don't have one of ours that I can find. Ours has a weight box up front and extra lights but otherwise looks just like this one. I call it my garden tractor on steroids and am very impressed with the little two cylinder Mitsubishi diesel engine in it. Thanks for thread again and all the best to you this weekend. Regards, Dwayne

We had a John Deere B. It got sold so we could get a Super M Farmall. My brother has the M and I have a 1967 Oliver 1850 diesel. I don't use it much but I got it. kwg

Started on an old International H. Then an M. Didn't get to drive the M much. The fist tractor I bought myself was a 1948 or so John Deere 40, with crop row front end. I have a 1952 Ford 8n now. So I have not progressed much in 50 years or so.

1948 8N Ford Grandpa bought it new. Learned to drive with it. One of the first work I did with it was pulling hay fork up to the hay mow. Inherited it when Grandpa passed on.
