Mossberg 142A, the one with the fold-down forearm. Got it for my 10th birthday in 1949. Still shoots extremely well, I have probably killed more gophers (ground squirrels) with it than any other 22 I have ever owned.

I have to admit reading where the poster has had something for only 10 or 20 years makes me feel really old.

223 Rem, my favorite cartridge - you can't argue with truckloads of dead PD's and gophers.

Same here...bought in the same year. It's worn a few different barrels since but still have the original which was "Made in the 200th year of American Liberty".

Winchester Model 55. Single shot blow back operated .22. Got it in 1969, when I was 10.

Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote.

I've had my old Marlin 60 for 42 years now. It was my first rifle I could call my own. Not particularly reliable, but accurate enough to make up for it.

Rem 870 12 Ga that my Dad bought me at Gibson's for $139! That was about 1978 and I still have the box for it. I bought a Hastings barrel for it and killed a ton of quail over the yearsand a few pheasant!

He also bought me a Remington 572 BDL in about 1980 and I still have that and the box it came in. That one was bought at White's Auto and I don't remember the price.

My grandfather gave me a Winchester Model 60 when I was 11 for Christmas. A very short time later my father gave me a Remington Sportsman 12 Auto. I still have them both and I'm about to turn 39. I'm sure i could dig up my old Daisy which is at my dad's house. Got that when I was around 8. Still works last we tried it.

The Winchester 55 .22LR that I got from dad. Actually, my oldest daughter has it.

If that doesn't count, I suppose dad's .308 Model 88 in .308. He bought it in 1957. I still have it.

This one:

.270 ADL I bought from the Bazar store we had in town, back in '69.

She ran $107 and I got to pick from several new in the box, for the best wood.

It's been remodeled a bit and worn several different scopes.

That's a Leupold 2.5x8 and the M1 elevation turret on her now.

Guess it would be my F.I.E GR-8, a Brazilian copy of the Nylon 66. Was given to me on my 10th birthday, so 27 years.

Browning Light 12 that my grandfather bought me NIB in 1968 when I was 10 years old, didn't start using it till the next year. Still using it 45 years later (getting a little heavy though).

Old single shot blond stock Springfield .22 that my step-father gave me (it was his first gun) when I was 8. Spent many many hours in the woods with that gun.
