Been a few years (5) but I gave $450.00 for my used .270. $750.00 seems high. Just my opinion.

Really depends on the condition. I feel I got lucky when I snagged a Safari II for $650, but have seen them go for upwards of $800

Around here nobody wants the new shorrt track bar and the lightweights are hard to find in good shape. A friend of mine bought a lightweight stalker for 900.00 and was happy to pay it

I'd have to agree with them. I don't like the short tracks either.

Obviously I'm not too familiar with the BAR's. This one was made in Belgium. Maybe should have stated that

I bought (3) in 2008 between $550 and $660 with scopes worth between $100 [Redfield and Burris] and $200 [Leupold].

1969 338WM
1980 300WM
1990 338WM

6 years later at 3% compounded gun appriciation, those prices should be 20% higher, $660 - $800.

Minus the scopes = $700 now.

And that is a typical gun show price I would see.

But I am in the Seattle area, where the economy is always getting better and the hunting is always getting worse.

In NC where we are in the midst of the shxt storm they go for $350. The scope is worth only one interested party would offer. No one here is interested.

Sell it out west.

I'm in NC. Please point me towards any of them going for $350.

All of the BAR's are 'made' in Belgium. Some are just assembled in Portugal. I'm not talking about the short tracks, could be too. I just haven't paid enough attention to them to know since I don't like how they look/feel.
