My current favorites are 120 gr. TTSX, 120 gr. Nosler BT, and 140 gr. Nosler Partition, all pushed by RL 15. All shoot an inch or less at 100 yds.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

My 700 likes the 120 gr BT over a max load of several powders. working with 760 right now, but may have found the max speed I want to push THAT bullet at 3100 fps. I shot 2 does a week ago, both high shoulder shots. First one went straight through, but came apart and gave me 2 exits. Second was 1/4 to me and hit 2/3 up the shoulder. The bullet slipped down the shoulder blade and into the back of the lungs. It made for a gruesome entry wound and came apart. I found pieces of the jacket. I think I will try a max load of big game over a 120 ttsx. If it works accuracy wise I should be very happy at 3100fps+.

Any 139-140 grainer with enough Varget to make it go 2800 fps. +1.

Currently shooting 48gr of Big Game and 120gr BT. Not sure what it is doing for speed but it is incredibly accurate! I have done several powder/bullet combinations for deer and they all work very well on deer sized game. Not many bad combinations in this caliber.

140 nbt over max laod of imr 4350 has shot very accurate out of most all the 7-08s I tried. Had quick kills on all the MS whitetails we have shot and a few coyotes.

I wish these powders you folks mentioned were easier to find. Thanks for the advice...

Not done playing with 7mm-08 loads yet, but use these in a Montana:
120gr NBT + 50gr RS Big Game = 3100 fps
120gr TTSX + 49.5gr RS Big Game = 3000 fps
NBT prints higher than the TTSX at 100y but both are dead-on at 500y with 7.8 moa holdover. Have only killed one buck and it was with the TTSX.
