Winchester Black Talon ammo still brings a high premium when you see it.
Really you can still buy it under the new name not coated black any more but with the same performance. Winchester Ranger T series. I have a box for most of my handguns. Trust me I didn't pay any premium price for it. Around $23 per a box of 50.
I was under the impression that with 147 gr. hollowpoints there wasn't any need to complain now about effectiveness of 9mm?

There is always that placement thingy. LOL I saw a show on tv where a guy, that was being attacked in AZ, shot a guy with , OMG, hollow points and he chose those bullets for the stopping power. When he went to trial the jurors used the lethal bullet as his bullet of choice to send him to the pen. Total BS but the women juror was adamant that the choice of bullet was what sent her over the edge for a conviction.
Many argue that there is no better bullet for deer hunting than a monometal. Yet for a confrontation where the target might very well kill you, people are screaming for a bullet which is designed to fragment on impact????? Can you say "splash wound"?
Multiple wound tracks might be desirable when inflicted by 1 1/4 oz of OO buck. But when the projectile weighs a measly 115 gr, I'll take a traditional HP.

JUST WOW, I perused a couple of other sites where folk were commenting on this bullet.
The total ignorance of all thing ballistic demonstrated by those whom are self proclaimed gun fans is absolutely amazing. But then several of them also claimed to be liberals who also happen to like owning handguns.

Old school, Speer Flying Ashtray, 200 gr JHP in 45acp had the best 1 shot stop for years & years. I've still got a few of them. But now I prefer the Speer Gold Dot 230gr JHP. And their 200gr JHP 10mm bullet is one heck of a deer & hog killer.
Personally, I'll stick with Speer Gold Dots over some new "wonder" bullet. JMO
