Interesting. Local Walmart has no Coleman propane bottles. The stickers on the shelf indicated $3.57 each or $6.47 twin pack. Clerk said they were sold out as soon as the news broke about a shortage of propane. Oh, no 22LR ammo either.

I threw 1/2 a dozen away about a week ago. Forgot and left them in my toolbox and got checked going into a plant, into the trash.

Our walmart has TONS of them. Power went out the other day so I dug my coleman lantern out to use and realized the bottle was empty so I just bought a 2 pack of them at our walmart. paid $6.47 for 2
Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money but we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money. What's interesting is the first group WORKED for their money but the other group didn't.

I use em in one of the buddy heaters when I take the wife hunting. I probably have a dozen bottles out at the deer camp. Everytime someone wants to borrow it to take a kid or wife hunting they always return it with an extra bottle. I sure hope they keep borrowing it because I use them to fire up my egg and for my ken light annealer.

Propane is $1.125 a litre here or about $4.26/ gallon. It's gone up 20 cents a litre in the past couple of weeks.
Last year at this time it was less than half (53.5/litre).
Spring can't come soon enough for me since my house is heated with a propane furnace!

It cost me $250 to fill a 100 lb tanks in King Salmon last year and by the time I flew them to camp it meant that the propane was over $25 per gallon ! I can hardly wait for this coming season.

We get the 1 pounders for $9-10 each, so buying the 100 pounders and filling off from them become a good deal.

local F&F has the Coleman's at $2.49 each, there is a generic brand for $9.99 for a 4-pack. Shelves are full of it.
