It'd be perfect without that ugly cheek piece. It's a hunk of fiberglass, meant for utility. Not a $2000 Circassian blank.... Still the best looking synthetic stock I have ever seen for a Remington 700.

I guess I'd need to handle it to appreciate it. If I needed/wanted a cheek piece with slim barrel I like mountain rifle well. If cheek piece and bigger barrel I like sako classic and they tell me I'd like the new sako spin off too. I really like the Remington classic a good bit and have never wished it would have a cheek piece.
Guess that's why we have so many options....grin.

[quote=ingwe]Soooo, Im Mcmillan challenged. How much is a 'shrike'? [/quotFG stocks and the Edge stocks are about $90e] Ingwe: I got an email. The stocks are priced competitively with similar McMillan fiberglass stocks, with the Edge models about $80-$100 bucks more. D'Arcy will be keeping an inventory of some with magazine port and bolt handle cutouts for those who want them that way, and others without the cut outs to set up for Remington clones. Seems they will be available for those as well. Anyone wanting more specifics can contact D'Arcy directly.

Everything this man touches turns to gold. His name on it is enough for me. The name is not enough for me.....but I will probably be ordering. I found out recently I really like his Mod 70 stocks. Not surprised....most do. This is pretty funny at a lot of levels. Actually it is really funny.

Not surprised....most do. This is pretty funny at a lot of levels. Actually it is really funny. Almost as funny as you getting laughed off the long range hunting site a few years back. Or your comment about me getting drunk and overspending on a couple ARs when the crap you sell is just as overpriced. ( well actually your junk probably more over priced). Do you have to get all the guys who buy your stuff drunk to get them to purchase? I am not sure what got a bug far enough up your arse to have you going back and reading my posts for the last year or so, or following me around. All I said about the Echol's Legend is over priced. I bought one at a reduced price. The gun is nice, it shoots pretty well no way in hell it is worth 15K. I will still say someone would be way ahead to buy an Echol's than to buy 2 of your POS rifles. I do think that it is hilarious that you would go through the trouble of showing the world what a douche you are just for my entertainment.

Now all we need is a legend for mauser actions. I have held a pattern stock that D'Arcy made for a small ring Mauser. It is absolutely to die for; excellent lines and not a bit of extra wood anywhere. I bet it is utah, thinking a 375 Whitworth in one would be extremely nice. (standard fill)
JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H
