Anyone tried the 348 A frames yet? If so how did they work? A local shop has some in stock but there $$ so I'm trying to find out if there any better then the normal slugs on moose and elk.
Also, since swift doesn't list any loads for the 348 is it safe to just use the starting loads from Hornady or Barnes 200 gr. and work up slowly (never used any swift slugs so these are new territory for me)?
Thanks in advance for any help or information.

I might have some data at the house. If by "normal slugs" you mean Hornady, Winchester, etc, you're darned right it is a much better bullet. I'll see what I have and get back to you.

yes I was referring to the normal Hornady,Barnes, and Winchester silver tips and power points, sorry I should have put that. Any load data or any information on loading these would be greatly appreciated. I've used a lot of nosler partitions over the years in other calibers but this is my first try with the Swifts.

Do a search here, myself and others have posted lots of data on the 348. Good stuff!

GMTHunter,

You should be able to use other 200 grn data but reduce and work up. The Swift jackets are pure copper vs the copper alloy of the Hornady and I believe pressures will be higher.
