I was wondering about an AR-10 in 338 federal with a fast twist to shoot the sierra 300g matchkings. I know I'm not going to get much in the way of velocity but with a BC of .75 they should carry.
I'm thinking the OAL with this bullet will likely be too long to feed from a mag and probably defeats the whole idea. Anyone know what OAL you can run in an AR-10 and what the the OAL of the 300g Sierra would be in a 338 federal?
