This is Greifelt/Scherping drilling I just recently acquired. It is 16x16 GA(70MM) over 7x65R . The gun is in awesome condition with perfect bores. It wears a Zeiss Jena 6x scope that is in like new condition with super glass. If anyone has any info on the maker or rifle I would appreciate the input. Also what the market value of the combo would be to see how I did with this purchase. Thanks

That's a handsome gun. Good for you!

While the scope seems kind of far back I compared it to my drilling with it's Hensoldt and it is just right.

Very nice! cool cool

I especially like the side-cocker for the rifle. You should be able to un-cock it by holding the lever all the way down and pull the rifle trigger, then let it up slowly. I would have that butt stock glassed to the receiver and the scallop crack fixed. The 7X65R isn't a real light round, and a 16ga can pound a stock, too, with the shorter forcing cones in these guns.

I believe Greifelt got his receivers from Sauer, but I'm not sure on that.

You made a good choice. wink

I love the look of the hog back butt stock, just adds to the uniqueness of this rifle.

Nice drilling - the "kick start" cocker is a nice feature. Btw, the cartridge is as a rimmed .280Rem.

In my limited knowledge I have not seen many with the side cocker. The round being similar to the 280 rem is a big plus.
