I have a stash of 6mm Rem brass that I would like to make into .257 Roberts, is it as simply as running through a die or are there any issues with doing that?

Thanks

A tapered expander vs the standard ball expander in your FL sizing die would be a big help.

You can usually get away with out it, but you make crush a few necks on the 6mm cases.

Also light sizing lube inside the neck helps a LOT !!!!

I have been using Imperial on the necks when resizing, I'll give it a go and see how they do.

Thanks

Back when I had a 257 I had difficulty getting cases one time so used 6mm Rem. Just ran them through the sizer.

Recently I acquired a 6mm and found some old 257 cases on hand so simply sized them down. This worked without complications. I went back to 6mm cases after I found some of them squirrelled away.

When making 257 roberts from 6mm rem by just running rthough a die has anyone experienced early case head seperation?
