Customer came in wanting me to order him some 32 Remington special ammo. Is there a difference between 32 special win and 32 special rem?

Betcha it's .32 Remington. (Basically a rimless .32 Special- lots of luck finding any. Expect to pay 'collector's prices.) Remington stuck some mildly misleading chamber markings on a couple guns way back in the day. Perhaps your customer has such an example.

That's what I'm thinking, this thing has 32 rem special stamped on it, or so he says, has not brought the gun by for a look see.
