O.J.Brisky has operated a book store in Micanopy for 25 years. It has been my 'go to' source, particularly for historical works, and military history.
Recently, OJ died, and way too young, at 71. He was a Hungarian, and also a US Army vet.
Now his son, who lives in Europe, is going to close the store, and sell off the books. There may be over a hundred thousand books in there. Most of them old, out of print, one of a kind.
The current manager is going to let me pick what I want at 50% off the marked price, but still, there is no way I can afford all that I want.
Today, I picked through the Naval History section, and brought home 5. Will try to get back soon.
Sigh. The end of an era, and the loss of a good friend.
