I'm thinking the parts are worth more than the selling price for the entire upper.

Made me look, dangit! Saw they had 1:7,1:8, or 1:9 twist rates. Which is best for std. NATO ammo? Also this lower:

Educate me on the "bullet button". Can it be removed? Is it a PITA?
Lastly, would this combo make a good little fun gun?

The bullet button is essentially a magazine release button that filed flat with the side of the receiver, so you can't push it with your finger, but have to use "a tool" like the end of a round to push it.

It shouldn't take more then about 15 minutes to replace it with a standard button.

That's all there is to it, so long as you can clear the bolt catch. If not, you will also have pop off the bolt catch (careful the spring that's under pressure, don't want it to go flying across the room), and replace it as well.

If you have to have one, the VamFire is the best I've used. With a small allen wrench, it can be converted back and forth. And so far, it's the only one I've used that didn't vibrate itself into felony territory with hard use.

The bullet button isn't "filed flat". There is a grooved nut over the stem of the catch and the button sticks out just as far but you have to reach down into the button to release the catch. Bullet button example
