3 of my latest 700s didn't have the adjustment in the shoe any longer. The newer 700s I've seen on shelves are the same. They adjust like the old 700 triggers and 2-2.5lbs was easy. I didn't need to adjust OT or SE on any of them, it was spot on as is.

I love the Timney, really like the older X-Mark, like the older trigger, and loathe the X-Mark Pro.

The Timney may need a little adjustment on the bottom metal, but is close to drop in.
