My M-990i is a great camera. It takes clear pictures and the battery life is very good. I just bought a Browning spec ops for less than $110. I have not used it yet but it has some good reviews.

Have two model 35 original truth cams. One has three years and the other one has two years. Works great but somewhat fuzzy night IR pics. They seem to work better in a more open area(food plot) They let you know what is there and I paid 65 dollars for one and 75 dollars for the other. They are ok trail cams

Also have a 5 year old incandescent flash Cuddeback Capture that has defied the odds and still works well and takes great night pics and fantastic day pics. Cuddeback usually doesn't fare well in trail cam reviews, and I would probably not purchase another.

I've had both Truthcam 35's and Truthcam 46's, have to say I like the 46 better. The 35 died on me this last fall after 4 years, but was my fault for not getting it closed properly.

I have cuddebacks that I like a lot but the only problem is that it only takes a pic every 30 sec which I don't like at all

I use several Spypoints - they have the same 30 second delay after a picture or a set.

That's a darn good night shot.

Moultrie has worked the best for me but I must tell you that I have not spent alot of money on them. Bought some low end stealthcams and wild game innovations but the low end moultries have worked for me. The upper end of any are probably good. I think you get what you pay for as far as game camera go....

Coverts. You can get the MP6 for under $100 or the MP6 Black for just over. You can get the Extremes for a little more nad additional bells and whistles. Good cams at a decent price and one the best CS of game cams.

I have had good luck with my covert black extreme 60 too. Got a lot of good black bear pics this summer/fall on the edge of my corn field in Virginia. Battery life very good. Moving subjects at night seem to get a little blurry, but that's my only complaint.

I have some problems with the Browning BTC-2 and BTC-3.

Pictures taken in the night modus - and that might happen in dense forest even in broad daylight - are very often overexposed. Especially when the object to be photographed comes to close.

The pictures then show almost no contours. That never happened with the Moultrie 80xblack and the M880.

I contacted my dealer in Germany who asked me to send the BTC-2 back to him to test the cam. According to an email from yesterday the substitute is now on it's way to me. The BTC-3 I have still in use even today produced pictures with lots of overexposure. Pictures taken with the Moultries under the same light and weather conditions didn't show this lack in quality.

Now I'm narrowing my choise to the Cuddebacks. What are your experiences especially with the Cuddeback Ambush IR and Attack IR?

I had one of the lower end moultries, sent it back 2 or 3 times after it quit. Complete piece of junk. Had another one same thing almost, the wife and kids got me for my birthday. It made it about 1 month then had some weird message/code on the screen. I called them up and they said the cheap-o SD cards i was using from Walmart were to advanced for anything they made. I threw it in the garbage.

Time to find a new brand.

Reconyx cams are pricey but pay for themselves over time.
