'89... I drive it when I only need my hand tools, it costs me half what my duramax does in fuel.

Before pouring out it was by itself. When I looked up after it just struck me funny, being surrounded by the others.

Those cars are overflowed from the softball field across the street. The retirement community has it's own field, as does others around, the visiting teams park there... and I guess don't care if they get concrete splatters on their beamers...

It was my son's, he picked it up for 800.00 as a daily driver. He only drove his GTO when going out or at the track.

I've put 10,000 miles on the Toyota in the last 4 years, it's up to 130,000 now and still going great.

The granddaughter may get it in 14 years... or the 95 chevy stepside.

Thanks for the reply and information, I appreciate it.

My late father had a '92 that gave him zero trouble and we've had an '05 since 2006 or so that besides spark plugs and a serpentine belt has only taken fuel and oil changes.

My goodness do I hear you on starting a pickup anymore too Kent. We've got an '03 Cummins that I try my best not to drive because of it's appetite for fuel and tires as well.

I swear that thing eats tires parked in the yard and my goodness E rated 285's aren't free up here across the medicine line Kent.

Long ago my wife and I decided we'd not drive our money around and for us anyway it's been a beneficial plan in many ways.

Oh, I think the '89 Corolla motor might have a timing belt in it Kent, so if you've not done it that's one thing they need. I see that "the list" says '90-'97 has a belt.

Thanks Dwayne, same to you and yours... it's in the 70s here and going to hit the 80s by this weekend... fishing should be heating up. We're done with all our big projects for now and can relax for a bit work wise.

This elevator vault had to be dead nuts and somehow I was able to accomplish it. The engineer, who's been a dick to the general contractor the whole time, came out and measured after the job was complete and said... really good job, with a sour look on his face... LOL

Back in the old days working for a big company, if it was 10 yards or less I had to do it by myself. I work with my brother now and we have guys we can call for bigger jobs.

I had a 91 corolla in the same color. It had 325K miles on it when I finally parked it. It served me well as a daily commuter for almost 8 years, but the overdrive went out. I sold it to a couple of kids who were going to use it in a demo derby, but after they picked it up, they decide to keep it. They are still driving the dang thing.
