If the fingerprint recognition feature works as good as the one on my iPhone 5S, I would be dead before I could deploy a weapon from such a device, especially under stress. The guy in the video was pretty calm when the alarm went off, so maybe he is better than me.

I guess I could wear the faux "live strong" bracelet or goofy ring, but that is just not my style. I can see how it would be an option for people with irresponsible kids. Otherwise, my gun has never fired by itself in all those years in the nightstand.

Mine either. It's usually in it's lock box during the day (the one that takes a key) but sometimes I forget to re-lock it... and it only takes once.

I'll not have anything like that if I needed to keep a loaded gun about. If you need to keep one handy, you may well need it in a hurry.
You can often find semi auto pistol that are hard even for adults to chamber a round. You can also put the safety on for additional safety from kids etc.
Either put in your gun safe or keep them nearly ready to go. E
