I am looking for a good outfitter or a place to hunt Wild Hogs this year. I live in Ky looking for some place close. Also looking for more meat hogs then trophy animals. We want to put at least 2 nice pigs in the freezer maybe a third. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
John

I don't think I've ever heard of a TROPHY pig, unless we're talking show pigs.

Well, some poor sap took out a pair of "Trophys" early this morning up on the hwy right around the corner from the house. Hate to see the results of the encounter on their ride.

Have you looked in NC? A few years back, they had a real problem with feral hogs. I read that they were so bad that they allowed night shooting and no limits. The pigs were destroying the landscape. PA has a problem in some areas. There was a big todo about letting people whack 'em at will, but the finally the Game Dept. decided to take control. I don't know what the final outcome of that was.

Go to the Pennsylvania Game Commission website and put "feral swine" in the search box. It looks like they've taken the gloves off for the most part regarding pigs, but you'll have to do some research to find out where to go. PA has lots of public hunting land and you may be able to figure out a way to hunt pigs on the cheap. After reading the stuff they have on diseases that you can get from pigs, you may just change your mind about the whole deal. In fact, I think I have some bacon I want to throw out.
Just kidding. I would NEVER throw away bacon!
