I have an offer to trade my lh Rem 1100 20 ga for a Rem 700 lh lss stainless in 30-06. I kinda feel the 1100 is worth a little more than the lss and I'm really wanting a Benelli lh 20 gauge which I feel I would use. But the 1100 may be more collectible. What's you guys thoughts? I also already have a 270 lh lss but I know the stainless 700s are rare as well.

If you already have a 270 I'd get the Benelli
...on earth as it is in Texas.

Over time I've had two left hand 1100 trap shotguns and sold or traded them off. Everytime I think of it like I did reading this thread I kick myself. Now a left hand 20 ga. I'd have to kill myself if I had one and sold it. Keep the 1100 and pay cash for what you want.

I picked up two ss LH 700s in the past two months, one Lss 30-06 and one xcr 30-06. Point is, They are rare but out there. I can't remember seeing a LH 1100 20 ga for quite some time. Besides, you have a .270 already, not completely redundant, but close. So, answer? No I wouldn't.

Are you "collecting" or "shooting" ? If you are shooting and think you will get better service out of a LH Benelli, sell the 1100 and buy the Benelli. If you are collecting, I gotta agree that I see more LH SS rifles than I do LH shotguns...

Since the 20 ga was build on the same frame a my 12 , why carry the 20 when they were the same size. Get the Benelli and swap for the 30-06 . As being worth more maybe depending on the buyer and what he is looking for.

I bought a brand new LH 20 ga. 1100 in the 70's. Hardly shot it because it is just as heavy as a 12. Sat in the closet for years. Recently traded it for a Browning Citori Feather. If I wanted a lefty 20 auto today it would be the Benelli.

I would keep the 1100LH, I have a 12 ga and an 870 12 ga in LH. Hard to find, rarer to see and good luck paying less than $250 for a spare barrel.
I agree the 20's weren't that 20 like!

I also have the left hand 870 12 ga and 20 ga . The 20 ga has three barrels , much better hunting shotgun than the 1100 20 ga. I also have two Left Hand 12 ga slug barrels , one rifled and one smooth bore .

The Rem 1100 LH 20 gauges on the various auction sites sell for $1,400 to $2,400 depending on grade and condition. Some parts for the Rem left hand 20 gauge shotguns are getting scarce.
I use a custom stocked Rem 1100 LH 20 gauge for skeet and 5 stand and find it swings much better( lighter out front) than my 2 Rem 1100 LH trap guns. I have a spare forearm and a left hand 11/87 light contour barrel for sporting clays and the Rem 100 LH 20 gauge still swings faster... at least in my hands.
Keep you Rem 110 LH 20 guage.

Update!!! I picked up a new Benelli 20 ga today for $1,239.00. It is light and thin and shoulders well. Will have to shoot it some to form a final opinion but I'm happy with it so far. May still keep the 1100.
