Has anyone used the CFE powder in there AR? If so what are the results and did you try it with other calibers? Please keep it about CFE Powder.

I've started using it, I think it's on it's way to be my favorite AR powder in 5.56 with Nosler CC 77 HPBT.

I have used it behind Sierra 65 grain GKs in my AR and was very impressed with its accuracy. Also tried it in my 204 with favorable results.

Have you used a chronograph on it yet?

I got the powder last November and just haven't had a chance to set up the chronograph to check speed. Just been too damn cold this winter.

I picked up some CFE223 and loaded some 50gr BT and 52 gr .MK. I haven't shot any due to all the snow, I can't get into the range. I want to try the 65gr SGK. can you give your load specs? I know all guns are different and to work up loads, so standard disclaimers apply. Ernie

I've had good luck with it in my ARs. Accurate, meters well, etc.

Surely someone cares enough about velocity to own a chronograph. How do you sleep at night wondering how fast or slow your bullets are going?
Seriously I can't imagine working up a load without knowing what velocity and extreme spreads.

2850fps is what I've got punched in Ballistic. Don't remember how I arrived at that number. Might have chrono'ed it but not sure.
Oh, that's with 69gr SMKs

I use it for 50 gr. BT's out of my varmint AR, and its pushing 3300 out of a 20" barrel. It's threatening to be a .5 MOA load in my gun. Not much cleanup after, either. I've played with it for 63 gr. loads, but haven't found the right one yet.

That sounds like good results with the 50gr bullet. My rifle is a stag lower with competition trigger with YHA diamond fluted competition barrel. I am hoping to get your results with it.

27 gr CFE-223 under a 55 gr TSX is mean and clean in my AR multi.

I got a batch of 52 gr. match bullets with 27 gr of CFE 223, LC brass and cci 450 underneath them to try in the AR.
Loaded up some CFE for the brother with 50 gr. v-max, same load as above. He shot some of them but has not told me how they did. Usually I only hear if things were poor like function, accuracy, such and so forth...must be good stuff then.

Have you used a chronograph on it yet? Not an AR, but velocity-wise it'll hang with the best powders for 155-grain .308 bullets.

I just finished a series with CFE223, 55 Nosler Varmageddon HP seconds, loaded to 2.25" OAL for the magazine, new Remington cases, CCI 400 primers. From a 20" Sig 400, I got the following at 75 degrees:
26.0 grs/2970 fps 26.5 grs/3035 fps 27.0 grs/3100 fps 27.5 grs/.3145 fps 28.0 grs/3205 fps
In the Nosler #7, 26.0 is the starting load and 28.0 is their max. At 26.0 grs cases were pretty smoked up but that went away by 27.0 grs. In my rifle 27.0 grs gave a five shot group of 0.95" and 27.5 grs gave a five shot group of 1.0". Other levels gave from 1.4-1.8". At 27.0, extreme spreads went from around 75-85 fps to 30-35 fps.

Good report and 10-4 on the speeds, I'm getting a little over 2900 fps from my 16" PSA with 27 gr and the 55 gr TSX. Gunner
