I am able to find Norma Oryx bullets for sale or at least listed and out of stock. I've not had any luck finding the Norma Alaskan bullets. Specifically I would like some of the 156 grain 6.5 round nose to try in the 6.5x54 I recently purchased. I contacted Norma's customer service but the guy who replied to my email only parroted what was already on their web site as far as dealers. Additionally he didn't seem to realize that some of the dealers he recommended did not stock Norma bullets.
Is the Norma Alaskan available to reloaders? I can't say that I ever saw them even before the current bullet shortage. Thanks.

From what I have seen of listed prices, I believe that they can be found amongst the other precious metals like gold and platinum.

I haven't seen them offered for sale at any price. I've checked all the big suppliers and several of the lesser known ones.

mart, I have not personally tried the Lapua Mega 155's but I have heard that they work quite well. I have used the Norma Alaskans you mentioned but they did not shoot quite as well as the old Sierra 160 gr smp's. While the Sierra smp bullet has been discontinued, they may be easier to find than the Norma Alaskan. Good Luck to Ya!

I'm actually looking for some the heavy round nose Sierra, Hornady, Norma and Lapua bullets to try. I picked up a box and a half of the old 160 grain Lubaloy round nose bullets toady on GB. Do I get extra points if I take a Dall sheep or caribou with a classic rifle and classic old bullets?

And a classic cartridge! Yessss Sir!! I have used both the Hornady 160gr. RM & the Sierra SMP's in my 6.5x54M-S & a Husky 6.5x55. Either worked just fine. No favorite between the 2 & have taken elk w/both cartridges. Tomorrow in the day light I'll go do an inventory, might be able to spare a box of each if you're interested. Cheers

Absolutely on the points. Couldn't think of a better way to do it.
Which rifle did you get?
BTW, Graf & Sons list the Alaskan but as per usual, they are not in stock.

Ulvejaeger,
I sure would be interested in in those bullets. Thanks. Just shoot me a pm with the details.
65x54,
It's a 1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer. It had the stock cut at one time, presumably for a youth or petite female. It was restored to original dimensions by adding on to the stock so I was able to get it very reasonably compared to what they normally go for. It has had some honest use by the looks of the pictures but doesn't appear to have been abused and the stock addition looks to be well done. It shipped today from the seller to my FFL guy. I'll check with him next week to see what he thinks of it as I'm up on the slope for a bit.
I must have missed the Alaskans on Graf. I'll check again and see if I can get them to notify me when they come in. Thanks.
