I picked up these odds & ends from a long out of business gunsmith shop regretfully there was no one I could ask details about them so i was hoping someone around the campfire may be able to shed some make/model/details light on the mystery items.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

One is a .22 Cal Semi Auto Pistol magazine with no distinguishing marks that i can tell
Pistol Magazine .22 cal
Pistol Magazine .22 cal

Ruger grips (black logo) not sure model they would belong too
Ruger Grips Front
Ruger Grip back

And Finally a Carrier of some type but make/model i have no idea
Carrier 1 Carrier 2

Thank you in advance for any help that can be offered!

Thank you very much for the quick insight!

What makes the Ruger Blackhawk Grips "Old" the logo?

Would like to add to my original post: Another unidentified item if anyone could shed any light on it? I thought it might be off an old military Mauser or the like. I am not even positive they are a pair, tho they were bagged together. Thank you

the one sight is off a M1Carbine. The other round one is a target front sight, no connection.

I'd like to see something as durable as that hooded sight on my muzzleloaders and Sharps. An irate field mouse or even a gentle fall can do irreparable damage to their inserts.

I assume you're referring to that swinging leaf spring that holds the inserts in a Sharps globe. I don't like them either, too fragile. If you're not hung up on historical authenticity, or "gotta have an MVA 'cause that's what everybody says is the best", there are alternatives. I prefer Distant Thunder front globes on my BPCRs. Very similar to the Steve Baldwin front sight, takes the same inserts, I believe. Both are excellent sights, made by good guys, who are shooters.

Jim Kluskens (Distant Thunder) is also making a tang sight, although I haven't seen one, and Steve's tang sights are highly regarded. I have Hoke tang sights on my rifles.

Those who know me know I don't do what "everybody" does, although I'm not a contrarian. I don't follow the crowd, just give a lot of thought to my gear and how I use it.

Paul
