Maybe. The next couple of elections could make a huge difference. With at least a 90% turnover of our elected officials, a president with a backbone and common sense things could turn around. But even if it happened in the next three years I doubt I will live long enough to see the results.

1. We meed common-sense leaders (or people willing to be leaders in the public sector) at the local, state, and federal level.
2. Those leaders need to be honest with the public; you cannot be in favor of EVERYTHING.
3. People need to start taking responsibility for their own decisions, the good and the bad. Whether it's impaired driving (No, it wasn't my fault I took the wrong pills -- it's the doctor/pharmacy's fault) or quitting a job because "it didn't meet my personal needs".
4. People need to get out and vote. I don't care who you vote for or why -- just vote and stop whining!
5. Minimum wage was never meant to let you raise a family of 2, 3, 4, ... pick a number. If you're working a job that pays Min Wage, don't get married, don't have children!

Problem is the majority of voters have no backbone or common sense... majority meaning democrats, blacks, muslims, mexicans, and the dead. This crowd votes as a block and is in fact the majority. Warren Buffet has in the past been able to influence the market by using his great wealth. We'll see how much he controls as the dollar slips deeper in the hole.
