I am thinking walnut stock, and a blued finish. Those have the nice slick feeling when you work the action.
Not a big fan of the gravel blasted actions of the SPS setup with the cheap tupperware crappy stock.

I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

I have 2 Tikkas, a SS 223 and a CM 22-250, neither shoot better than my SPS 223, no accuracy to brag about, but they are slicker actions.
I may have to look for a used Classic or BDL

If your tikka .223 isn't leaving your sps in the ditch, respectfully speaking, you're doing something really wrong.

A .223 should be accurate. I'd try to find a Remington.

A 12 twist M700 would make a great donor for a 8 twist custom.

Whenever I to Remington's website to search out what I think would be pretty common design, in a common caliber, it ends up being a recipe for time wasting and frustration.
How can they make so much yet make so little?

There are LH rem 700 CDL's listed on GB in .223. Blue, walnut. Would expect should be RH also. Should be reasonably accurate. Not sure what twist they come with, tho....
