Suppose you had to pick your favorite ALL around two handguns.
Figure one .22 for practice, plinking, and small game.... and one larger gun, primarily for self-defense...... what would they be?

For me, the rimfire needs to be a revolver, so that I can use different kinds of ammunition. Even in these days of uncertain supply, I have picked up enough ammo in .22 short to keep my hand in with my airweight S&W .22. I still carry it with CCI Mini mags while walking, but, for months, have used nothing but shorts through it in practice at the dirtpile.
My only centerfire would likely be a Dan Wesson 1911...

#1. S&W 617 for the .22
#2. S&W 686 (38 Spec & 357 mag) for the centerfire.

Plinker a Ruger MkII. For center fire, something for CC probably a 38 or 357 Airweight like my S&W 642.
I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all. Jack O'Connor

The center fire would be a 357 or 9 mm because of ammo availability.

As much as I like my 5" N-frames, Ruger Bisley's and Smith M41 it would be this M63 I bought new as an underaged pup when they came out, and this P&R'd M629 I stumbled upon in a pawn shop when I moved to the Texas Hill Country.

That's easy. I'd keep the .22 (Ruger Single Six SS) and sell the centerfire and use the funds to buy another bolt rifle.
I was hoarding when hoarding wasn't cool.
