Hi all. I've been offered a chance to buy a used mk3 hunter, in like new condition (the seller says,) I've not seen it in person. I've a few questions for those who own one. Whats the going rate for a used 1 ? Are there any known troubles with this model ? Are these guns capable of head shot accuracy on squirrels ? Would you recommend buying one ? Thanks everyone.

They are capeable of head shots on squirrels to 35 yd or so. They are very accurate with most ammo. If in like new, should look new, nice clean and with box and papers. As to price, there are several variations, really need more info.
Beware of thieves, scammers and dishonest members on the "Fire" classifieds. Ya there is a thief here too. Whatever!!
They're all around the CampFire and everywhere.

For the SS Hunter model I'd be looking to pay around $500 in like-new condition with the scope base and a pair of magazines. I just bought a Mark III Target model, only because I couldn't find a Hunter model anywhere. The only "known problems" (more like complaints) are the loaded chamber indicator (which I happen to like) and the magazine safety disconnect - can't pull the trigger if there isn't a magazine fully inserted. I'll be disabling the MSD with the Volquartsen accurizing kit.
