Started at Penn State in 1979, booted out for poor scholarship in 1983. Went back part time in 1992, graduated in 1994 (made Dean's List my last semester) with a BS in Agronomy.
Looking back, I should have worked a couple of years or went military right after high school, I needed to gain some maturity.

SWTSU BS Anthropology UT Austin MA Anthropology Thought about perusing my PhD in Biological Anthropology but decided a life in academia wasn't my cup of tea. Went into the IT field and obtained a slew of certifications (CompTIA, Novell, Microsoft, Cisco) and have been quite content.

Spent one lost semester at the Kansas State Teachers College (now Emporia State University) in 1972. Got bored and joined the Navy. After retiring from the Navy, the GI Bill paid for my degree at the University of San Diego, BA Biology (1997).

Personally, I needed to grow up and UNH was not the place...winters are long and the drinking was legendary to the point of always making some silly top 10 list...I did my part to bolster the reputation....
....I regret not having joined the military after HS...I really needed to grow up.

Psychology to a fighter pilot? Man! I thought all pilots were math/science guys...you must have had the science gene buried!

I have been a great starter...not a great finisher...never finished my Bachelors...moons later I was 2 classes shy of AS in Fire Science and Admin. After that I went through all the hoops of getting accepted to a pretty selective Nursing program with the thought of working per diem as an RN on days off from FireFighting...would have been a huge help as I stare down my 2 kids getting ready for college.....never enrolled...sonofabitch!

PHD. Plain Highschool Diploma. Joined the Marine Corps at 17 and graduated bootcamp on my 18th birthday, almost 25 years ago now and still going.
Same as some of you, wondering what to do when I grow up.

Hmmm
1997 - UW-Oshkosh went for 6 weeks. Poly-sci. Hated the school and got the little woman knocked up. Went to work.
2002 - Defense Language Institute Monterey - Navy language school, conferred a pile of credits to me
2008 - ITT for Software Engineering - loved the classes, hated the school and expense. Realized it didn't have a great rep in the area
2013 - September to now. Concordia University. 24 credits a semester while working full time. Love the school and program. Business Management

Psychology to a fighter pilot? Man! I thought all pilots were math/science guys...you must have had the science gene buried! I'm decent in math but no expert and I like to show our flight students different ways they can use Trig in some situations. I've got them fooled 'cause most of them think I'm a math whiz...little do they know. Once in a while one of my students will ask what my major was and the look at me like "you must be kidding"! There are a few Liberal Arts types around; we have to balance out all engineers somehow!

Westminster College: BS Business with a chem minor.
University of Pittsburgh let me in their Pharmacy program starting with the third year of a five year program only because of the recommendation of a Korean War vet who became a Pharmacist and was a big contributor. Wouldn't happen today.
It's been a fun ride.
