I am looking for a zero stop scope. Somewhere in the 5-20 x 50 or thereabouts. I have had a Trijicon, and Leupold in the appx range and have no complaints other than the Mil dot reticle/ MOA turrets on the Trijicon. The Leupold had a date with a rock and destroyed it on a fall I took.

What would you suggest for around $1500? It's a 300 RUM hunting rig if that matters.

Thanks

ok let out a big gasp everyone, umm huskemaw. it has all the right features for long range hunting and even shooting. The zero stop works great. I looked at one very close a couple weeks ago. don't tell anyone I kinda want one.

BoTW alot of people make fun of them and they do make it look way easier than it is. They don't emphasis all the stuff that is happening behind the scenes with wind calls etc. like they should. I would watch brian litz's applied ballistics videos and make sure the scope tracks as it should using litz's method. which you should be doing with all your scopes anyway. OR if you like the mil system that new LRHS scope that bushnell is coming out with soon, but its only a 3-12x

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

+1, If your budget is 1500, try and go a little higher, if you look around you can probably find a NXS 5.5x22 with zero stop in the 1750-1800 range.

Thanks folks.

Nightforce is on the short list for sure. How does the glass on these units compare to the Trijicon?

I don't have a lot of experience with the Trijicon but I love my Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 zero stop, illuminated, awesome. I have it on my 338 Lapoopa.

The only scope in my arsenal that can even come near it overall would be my 2-12x42 VX6. The Swaro Z5 is not quite up to par with the NF.

NF makes a damn nice product fo sho!!

If you lift the turret cap and take a look you may be able to fashion a bushing to put in there. Sized correctly this becomes your stop, works on Bushnell Elite scopes.

Nightforce glass is very good, not S&B, Swarovski, or Zeiss HT good, but you'll never miss a shot opportunity because of it.

Nightforce scopes are tough as nails and the tracking/repeatability is one is the BEST in the business!!

This is the most important factor in a scope as far as I am concerned.

Thanks again for your input!
