Well, Obama got one, so why not? Yep. Obama, Al Gore, Yasser Arafat all got nobel peace prizes. If these clowns can get them then Putin fits right in. The Nobel Peace Prize has long since been a joke.

Well, Obama got one, so why not? That's exactly what I was going to say! Most Nobel prizes are a farce. It's become entertainment, like reality tv. Absolutely pointless.

It gets even more confusing when you realize Alfred Nobel (after whom the Nobel Peace Prize was named) invented dynamite and was the manufacturer of cannon and other armaments. !~!~! Yeah... he was a REAL peace-lovin' guy...!!! Go figure...  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Nobel

Rather strange...there were others who were close on his heels...it's not as if Dynamite/nitro-cellulose wouldn't have been invented without Alfred Nobel.

At least what Putin did actually took some effort and amounted to a very significant de-escalation of a conflict. Obama got one for showing up to work.
I'd say Putin's chances are next to nothing right now though.
