Curious if anyone still ducks hunts there? I grew up hunting ducks in the mid 60's on Harsens Island. What a true adventure it was. We would wake up at 4 AM then drive 45 minutes to the ferry that took you to the island. Then hunted all day and retraced our steps home. But what an adventure for a 12 yr old. Everything was just so great. And getting out of school opening day wasn't all bad....I haven't duck hunted in 35 yrs but still would like to shoot a male canvasback and male redhead. The first few yrs I started they where banned from shooting then after a few yrs they let you take 1. I would love to hear if anyone still hunts there and if they get may cans or redheads and whats a good time to go. Thanks for any info.
