Well its been almost three years since our daughter was born and the wifey and I have been kicking around the idea of another baby. Well not even trying we ended up getting pregnant last month. It was a happy day for sure.

Yesterday we went to get our first ultrasound and what do you know they found TWINS grin I have never been more excited or scared in my life. They are due two weeks after deer season starts so who knows how hunting will go this year but I couldn't care less really.

I always say when my daughter was born I found what i was meant to do with my life... be a daddy. This though is sure going to test just how well made I am I guess.

Whatever a 7x57 can do a 270 can do better.

Congrats...but blame it on global warming. Those miserably cold Jan & Feb nights make for hunting season babies.

Congratulations, our oldest grandchildren are twins.
In the long term, twins might be easier than spaced a bit.
Until then----sleep may be at a premium.

I bought my daughter a rifle when my wife was 6 weeks pregnant last time. Well Sunday night I was at a church auction when a little Savage 22 came up, and I won it for dirt cheap. I went for the forgiveness over permission route but the wife didn't make it an easy road. One of the first things my wife said after we found out was, "So are you going to go buy the other one a gun too?"

"Yes!"

couple of things:
1) Twins seldom go full term, so there is hope for your hunting.
2) Usually delivered c-section, so you can plan around the day.
3) In many ways twins are easier. They have a built in best friend, so are pretty good at amusing themselves.
4) They have to learn to share your time, so they are not as demanding.

My first two kids were twin boys, and my third was a girl. Although all 3 were good kids, the twin boys were way easier to raise than the single girl.
As someone else mentioned, having to buy two of everything, at the same time does take a little more planning.
Enjoy it. We sure do.
