Nice. What's the specs on it? What trigger is that? I just finished one also. Just needs paint now.

Nice gun. Not to hijack the thread, but what is Gen2 compared to other lowers?

Bearstalker, it's a Noveske Light Carbine. 14.5" barrel (1:7", pinned, welded flash hider), mid gas, but that is the factory trigger. I wanted small/light.

I think that it's forged is it's biggest perk, but the flared mag well and solid trigger guard are other features. I don't care either way about the trigger guard, but it seems to me that it would add strength to the lower.

maybe Bleu can expand on these lowers. i'm just getting back into ARs after ~20 years without one, so i'm not an expert...

So Gen2 is a proprietary type term to Noveske or applies to all lowers?

CBMJR, thanks! cool

EE, in this context, it applies to Noveske lowers. they are now making Gen 3, but I haven't seen one yet.

Of all the flared magwell-integral triggerguard lowers, I just think they look the best. Nice and smooth.

Midwest Industry SS Gen 2 12". Was going to get one of the key mod rails but found this one new on eBay for $50 cheaper than the best online price. Couldn't pass it up. The fun part is going to be taking the dremel to my factory front sight/gas block :-)

I agree. the NSR rail is way nicer in the hands.

also, this is the first ACOG that I've used. I'm getting to like it. I have to tape up the fiber optic tube when it's bright out or the chevron overpowers the FOV, but all in all, it's a neat optic for a utility rig.

Yes they need to make a sliding sleeve to adjust on the fiber optic but they are very nice scopes.

I may try an NSR rail if I build another upper/gun. I just don't know if I want to start buying another mounting system for accessories but other than a light or a bipod I don't think I'd need much.

Noveske makes a couple of picatinny rail sections that install onto the keymods. should work fine for light and bipod.

i'll have to do something for a light myself

In the next few days or week I'm gonna have a post together comparing some lights with pics and weights.
