I picked up some Denali Twister Creek IPAs tonight. Pretty tasty stuff that I have been a fan of for a bit. While at the store though I noticed a new one from Alaskan. Anybody try one of these?

I'll have to give that one a try, but currently the Twister Creek IPA is my favorite

Real beer has no fruit in it. I'm not ashamed to say that the Brewhouse and Moose's tooth both make a great Raspberry Wheat. I'll drink your share!

While at the beverage emporium today, I noticed that AK brewing is hosing the hopheads on their Hopothermia.
A 4-pack for the same low price as their other 6-packs! bastids!

It's good stuff! Don't knock it until you try it. I would take it over some malty amber any day.

I tried a jalapeno beer by another brewer one time. I don't remember what it was. I do remember trying it thinking that it was going to be a refreshing beer with a pepper taste and maybe a mild burn. Nothing could be further from the truth. The first swallow set my mouth on fire. Because my mouth and throat were on fire, I drank more........which made it worse, like trying to put out a fire with gasoline, but the beer was cold and I instinctively thought just one more ought to do it..........Didn't happen. I had to grab a non-pepper beer and chug it, to knock the fire down. Never again. Real beer has no fruit in it. Eggzackly. fruit and beer are two words that should never be on the same label.

My coworker tried it last night, he said the heat was barely noticeable. Just a bit in the after bite. Hell, I will drink PBR, Miller lite, Keystone, you name it. I'm not the fussy type. Just don't like it warm, unless that's all there is.

A 4-pack for the same low price as their other 6-packs! bastids! Look at it from an efficiency standpoint, Mike. At 8.5% ABV, you have about the same kick packed into 4 bottles, instead of 6! I have to admit to being hosed, and buying several of those 4 packs.......it's a damn good IPA. One of my favorites. Jeff

Never have cared for IPA for some reason... ambers have better flavor to my buds.
But thats the fun part, we dont' all like the same.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Sounds like Punishment by Stone Brewery. Imagine drinking battery acid laced with ghost chilies. Awful.
