Barring the arguments about accuracy, what's your pleasure? I'm thinking Howa 1500 in 6.5 Swede or Tikka T3 Hunter in .260. For feral pig, of course.
"An archer sees how far he can be from a target and still hit it, a bowhunter sees how close he can get before he shoots." It is certainly easy to use that same line of thinking with firearms. -- Unknown

Where are you getting the T3 in .260?
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

I have both...but the Tikka for me is the hands down winner. My vanguards/howa are very accurate, but also very heavy....triggers need work to be nice. The Tikka is lite, accurate and have great triggers.....winner,winner

Those Howas are just soooo bleeming heavy! Weight really isn't an issue. All hunting is from a stand. So what do you think?

I'd buy a Howa or Vanguard over any other currently manufactured rifle.

Yeaha T3 in a Swede would be skookum. It's .260 I'm thinking about.

I can't think of any 2 rifles more different. If you're a traditional type of guy you'll like the Howa. If you like more modern stuff the Tikka. Having owned both I found the Tikka's to be more accurate by a hair and my choice.
Weight is a factor to me even when hunting from a tree stand that I could ride an ATV right up to. Both of those calibers call for a trimmer lighter gun. Even though they are well made guns, I'd not buy the Howa or Vanguard again unless in a really hard kicker where the weight would help with recoil.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
