Gotta cook grits at least a half hour to make them creamy. I like to add some half and half to them and stir in a big pat of butter. Top with fresh cracked black pepper.

If all you yanks had grits and collards made by Sam and me you would know and believe that you had died and been reborn a real Southerner.

Instant in the microwave shocker!! NOT! I only use stone ground grits. From there slow cooked served with butter, salt and pepper. Nothing else 'cept eggs, toast and bacon. Is there anything so simply perfect as this?

Grits and boiled peanuts. Some just don't have a clue on what good southern food is.

I only use stone ground grits. these are stone ground in Alabama. They'll do. Scope snobs and Whisky snobs are one thing, but "Grit Snobs"? Only on the fire.
