I mailed some brass Priority Mail to a person in Scottsdale, AZ on Tues. Should have been delivered today, so I tracked iton their website. It is now in Puerto Rico!!
How in the Sam Hill could they confuse zip code 85255(AZ) with PR zip code 00962???

They are part of the government.
America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

Melvin, I had a similar issue last Saturday.
Mailed a pair of bino's and a camera to NY from MT.
Tracking showed the package as being delivered to ID.
I called the camera shop in NY the following Monday and they said the package was in fact on their shelf.
USPS tracking info is a joke.
Literally.
But to be fair the package made it to NY in less than 2 days.

I ordered some OTC meds from Amazon. I didn't read the fine print and they were shipped from Sri Lanka and given to the USPS who entered it in their system without tracking. In January. I'm still waiting. The company has long since refunded my money.

Oh its easy enough, I use to fly mail, and well sometimes things get missed sorted. It happens. Nothing is completely fool proof. People are not perfect so demanding 100 % perfection 100% of the time is a fools errand.

I've tracked countless packages through Amazon and ebay via USPS (and UPS). USPS is by far the more precise though occasionally a bit "constipated". Once in a while though.........

One package lost by the USPS in over a thousand shipped or received. A couple that people said they sent, but the later investigations proved they didn't.
A couple roughed up and things broken or missing, but no more then UPS or Fedex shipments.

The problem is not the actual employees.
I love the fact that the USPS delivers 6 day a week. They are pretty much as fast if not faster than FedEx or UPS.
Great service here in town.
Problem/issue is the tracking system itself. Hell if I know how it works but it don't.....

Our mail here is aweful if you drop it in a box not physically attached to the post office 25% of the time it will be lost or very delayed. I had a tenant who had never been late paying mail there rent once. It hadn't shown up so I called and they took care of it. 3 months later it showed up in my box.
