The Biggest POS I ever RODE in( not Owned) was a 1987 Yugo. Me an four like sized friends( 6 foot or so and 200-225 lbs.) rode home from school in it. On one small hill three of us got out and walked to the top of a small hill so it could make it up!

'78 Plymouth Arrow, work car. More like a glorified go cart. To be fair it was beat before I got it, wasn't long and it went away.

blame that on California....part of the reason i made sure my CJ5 was made before 1979 whenthey added all the smog chit.....they really Rube Goldberged that chit onto the engine to get it to pass smog tests.....first thing serious Jeep guys do today in places they dont need to pass smog tests with that era of Jeep is do something called the "Nutter Bypass" to get rid of it.....

1991 Jeep Cherokee. Worked on the junk constantly. Every thing
Consumer Reports indicated would go wrong with it did.

Never got the chance to sell it though. A cow in the road at 1:30 in the morning took care of it!

in 1975 i bought a yellow VW Rabbit. Picked it up from the dealer and got 7 miles till the engine seized. Seems the head expanded from engine heat and seized the valve stems. Dealer retrieved the vehicle and gave me a loaner. I received the vehicle back 3 months later. Drove it for about 150 miles and the transmission went out. got a loaner from the dealer and got the original back a couple of months later. Drove it about 25 miles and the right rear wheel fell off. Got a loaner from the dealer. a month later got the vehicle back, still have less than 200 miles on it. I had exactly $100 in my check book and drove across the street and traded it in for a Toyota Corolla station wagon. I got in trade exactly what I paid for the VW and drove the Toyota for over 200K and never had a single problem with it.

Chevy Estate Wagon, what ever year they offered it with that POS 350 diesel engine. GM should have gone to jail for selling chit like that, no wonder they needed to get their asses bailed out.

1988 Jeep Wrangler. In it's first year it spun a rod bearing, shyt two oil pressure sending units and had the windshield sheet metal around the wiper break clean off.

The retards at the dealership then proceeded to put new rod bearings on it without turning the rod and installing oversize bearings, causing it to spin a second rod bearing the day after I got it back.

I got back at the jackasses by buying an 89 Jeep Comanche and trading the Wrangler in to the dealer that screwed it up. The sales manager was so stupid he only drove it around the parking lot once and didn't figure out it had the power of a hamster, due to the spun rod bearing.

1975 Dodge 3/4 ton van GIANT POS bumper to bumper.

But it ties with a 1993 GMC Jimmy (same as a Chevy S10 Blazer). Bad antilock brake system that would form a hydrolic lock in the brake system, and not allow you to apply ANY braking.
Long story, but GM would not admit there was a problem (sound familiar ???). There was even a site on the net that told of deaths caused by the problem.
Drove that POS to a junk yard, and told them to smash it, after almost getting killed in it (Went through a toll booth at 50 mph !!).

I was a GM fan before that. I now own an F-150, Ford Edge, and Ford Mustang 5.0.
I'll never own another GM product, and I hope to hell they go out of buisness.

They always did put "profit" way ahead of the lives of their customers, and obviously still do.

2011 F150.....The worst shifting Trans I ever had in a New Truck. The worst factory Paint I ever had on a New Truck and the sheet metal had more waves than the Ocean!! Also tow haul mode was Dangerous on a wet road, tap the brake and that sucker would down shift to 1st gear at 55 mph... frown

Ain't heard/read Toyota or Honda yet...

Damned shame the amount of US makers in the mix, though

1996 Land Rover Discovery bought new.

There was so much wrong with that POS I had it for less than a year. Traded it for 97 Toyota Land Cruiser. Best vehicle I ever owned.
