I've got a Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20X due for arrival tomorrow. It will replace the old Leupold M8-16x I have on my Sako .222. I think it will be light years better that the Leupold. A Nightforce would have been great but, hard to turn loose of 2 grand for a scope.

I think you'll really enjoy it. They are great scopes, especially for the money. My Conquests are my favorite hunting scopes. I much prefer them to the pair of VX3's I've owned. The only scopes I've looked through in the same price range that have tempted me are Meoptas.

I've never used a NF, but my shooting buddy has one coming later this week to go on a 338 Lapua. I've always heard people rave about them as target scopes, but I'm anxious to see how the glass compares to some of our nicer hunting scopes.

Those who must raise their voice to get their point across are generally not intelligent enough to do so in any other way.

Here she is. In the process of lapping some Leupold ringmounts and then it'll be ready.

The glass in your Conquest is better than the glass than the Nightforce. Nightforce's glass is good, but their claim to fame is how rugged they are and their repeatability of turret manipulations.

Sweet. You can also get a custom turret from Kenton

That's a stretch to say the conquest has better glass than the nightforce. I have both of the scopes and neither one is noticeably better, but the nightforce seems a little better. The nightforce is new however, and the conquest is about 6 yrs old.

If I give an opinion on it, I have used or owned it.
