That is an aswesome deal on the best (imho) compact spotter made.
I've had mine for two seasons of use, and the more I use it the more I like it.

$555 Huntr...I'm making it easy for you. That is my bottom line. Dave is right, Vortex hit a homer. I was really impressed with how well they nailed the resolution and clarity for something so small and light. The Nikon ED III 50mm had been the standard, but Vortex upped the ante in all Optics reviews. Plus unlike Nikon, Vortex will stand 100% behind it. Buyer will really like it, and I'll guarantee that or send it back to me on my dime.

Damn good buy right there from a damn good seller.
If I didn't have an upcoming trip back east this summer i'd be all over this spotter.
That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

Someone please take advantage of this. Ebay would be a travesty.

Would a 16-48 be better than the 11-33?

Good question, I'll take a stab.
Even the very best glass (Swaro HD, Leica APO etc.) has a sweet spot (practical upper level of magnification per the conditions.) Heat mirage, weather, etc. play such a factor that most high power scopes don't see that upper echelon of their magnification unless one is watching hummingbirds 50 yards from the kitchen.
For me that average sweet spot was about 35x magnification with my 16-48x Leica 62mm televids for sheep hunting. Anything more than that just created too much distortion.
Less is often more when if comes to magnification. But it is nice to be able to 'crank it up' (40-60 power) when very close to a target. That is where it is usually most practical for a great distortion-free view.
My two pennies, and I've had some nice glass.

I've had several more inquiries on this scope. Still no firm commitment...
$540 last price tweak.
