Has anyone used any of this brand? What is your experience, good or bad?

I know a guy that uses it and loves it. Blows up gophers on impact. If I could find some I'd buy it. While at his house one day he showed me the difference between CCI and aguila, while the CCI put a hole in the coke can, the aguila tore that can in half. It was impressive.

I shoot the Aguila standard velocity target loads in my old 22's without issue. I heard it's made on Remington equipment but don't know that for fact.

Eley primed, good stuff. All standard velocity. Works fine in a Ruger 10/22 and pretty much every thing else I tried it in. Seems a little dirty but goes bang and is ok in the accuracy department, much better than bulk ammo.
I buy mine from CMP. Price is either $260 or $280 per case of 5,000. Always have a case or two on back order and just got an email from CMP saying they should start shipping again soon.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Jim Not sure which ones you're looking at but I've used them all and I love them all. Sons' smallbore rifle club shoots it as well. Good schit. Buy all you can. Travis

Type unknown. May be able to get hold of some but as yet haven't learned the details. Wasn't sure if it was something I should exercise caution about.
Thanks for all the comments, so far they seem favorable.

Been shooting the hyper velocity stuff for a while.
It's rated at over 1700 FPS, and is hotter than CCI stingers.
Like Stingers, you have to find a gun the "likes" it.
It dose "fling goo" almost as well as a 22mag.
I bought three bricks before the "crunch", and am shooting it sparingly.

have used the Aguila Super Extra with good accuracy in my very accurate BSA Martini model 12. However, it will hit about 3/4" lower on my 50 yd target than the other brands of 22 ammo that shoots well in the same rifle. This other ammo has velocity around 1100 fps.
I've shot the hypervelocity Aguila ammo and its accuracy was poor for me.

I've only used the Colibri's...but I've used em' a bunch. No louder than a pellet rifle. Shoot em' in the backyard. I let my kids shoot em' in .22 revolvers and a .22 Chipmunk. They like em' too.
Every day on this side of the ground is a win.

You wouldn't think ammo of this quality comes from Mexico. I have been using it for years, with good results. Aquilla is the only current source for the Winchester 1903 Automatic, and 5MM Rem. under the Centurion Label. Many years ago Old Western Scrounger had a run of Winchester 1903 Automatic made for them by Aquilla. $ 19.00 a box for 5MM in quantities of 20 boxes. I buy it from J&G Sales in Prescott.

It may have been the hypervelocity Travis, it's been a while... That's good stuff. If I could be selective I would buy nothing buy Aguila and CCI, in all varieties. Travis

Travis Ditto... except add Winchester Subsonics and Wolf Match Target. Actually other than trying some other stuff, that is what I did and none of the three have ever let me down (excepting the hyper velocity stuff), These days though I buy whatever I can find. Jerry

So will the super colibri be perfect for shooting in my neighborhood? Want something very quiet. Don't worry have a great backstop just don't like the noise. Would love to be able to shoot without too much more than pellet rifle noise. I have eley subsonic and Norma but they are still pretty loud

The Colibri rounds are for pistols only, but obviously some are shooting them in rifles. Just be aware that you may stick one in the barrel. I've tried them in a Single Six, a Bearcat, and a 22/45. The revolvers didn't shoot for spit, but the auto groups well enough to be useful, at least up to 10 yards or so. They do group about an inch low compared to HS stuff, but just use a seperate aiming point. Of course, they don't cycle the auto; you have to single load. The Rifle Match loads are extremely accurate in my CZ 453. During my tests to find the best ammo for my rifle, they tied with RWS SS HPs, and have the same POI. The last brick I bought ran me about $45. They do stink a bit, like Eleys.
What fresh Hell is this?

I like the Aguila sub-sonics more better than the Winchesters, haven't used the Wolf stuff but would love to find a case of it. Travis
