I need to make it known that I believe the front sight (just the blade) has been replaced. It's a tad tall which causes the rifle to shoot a bit low. I had intended to slowly file it down at the range and sight it in for 100 yds but never got around to it.
For a field expedient or even a permanent fix, you can add layers of tape under the sight ladder to raise it in very slight increments. I bought a much taller front sight for my Swede which made it shoot 11" low at 100, then added pieces of thin electrical tape one at a time to get it dead on at 200. That lets one keep the front sight as is without having to cut on it.
You can also cut shims from aluminum cans or anything similar one can think of will work.
